Recognition runs on-device: Tesseract OCR reads the card's printed text — it is not visual art-matching, so a misread is corrected by editing the name/number and searching again. Card data & prices come from the free Pokémon TCG API (Pokémon only); prices are TCGplayer (USD) & Cardmarket (EUR) market values, updated daily and indicative only. Non-Pokémon cards get direct search links instead of structured data.
